Task 2 transport guides

Draft guides of best and good practices. Reporting Meeting at DG Sante. ‘On 15 June, the project team had a third meeting with the European Commission to report on the latest activities of the Transport Guides Project. The outcome of the second task, namely the developments of the first draft guidelines was presented. Draft guidelines are developed for pigs, cattle, poultry, horses and sheep. Now, in the next months, a broad consultation of these draft guidelines will take place with all stakeholders involved. The aim is to finalise the guidelines by the end of this year. From the guidelines, fact sheets and other practical materials will be made which will be translated in many languages. At the meeting, the project website www.animaltransportguides.eu was also presented and welcomed.
